In 1991, Trylaner was acquired by Coventry Coatings Corporation, a specialty industrial coatings and automotive refinish products manufacturer in New York state.
Five years after acquiring Trylaner, Coventry Coatings acquired Kirker Automotive Finishes from Kirker Enterprises. This purchase cast the company’s reach wider across the automotive refinish market.
In 2004, the company extended its reach deeper into industrial coatings with the acquisition of its fourth brand, North American Technologies. Under this name, the company now manufactures high-performance industrial coatings, OEM finishes and other special-use products.
Early in 2005, Coventry Coatings Corp. moved all production operations, warehousing and offices to a new facility in Newburgh, NY. The building provides twice as much square-footage as the company’s previous confines. Gaining the extra space was critical based on recent growth and future development plans.
Today, SILITECT II and the alternate Toluene-free version that are manufactured under the Trylaner name continue to comprise an important piece of Coventry Coatings Corp.’s overall business. |
